LD Shrink Pouches

LD shrink pouches that tighten around your product with heat for a clean, secure pack.

Overview

What are LD Shrink Pouches?

An LD shrink pouch is a low-density polyethylene bag that shrinks tightly around the product when heat is applied. It holds items together, protects them from dust and scratches and gives a neat, tamper-evident finish.

We make shrink pouches to the size of your product so the pack shrinks evenly without wrinkles, using a shrink tunnel, heat gun or chamber.

Rotogravure Printing
Step 01

Rotogravure Printing

Your artwork is engraved on cylinders and printed in multiple colours on high-speed rotogravure presses. The result is sharp images, rich colour and the same registration from the first metre to the last.

Lamination
Step 02

Lamination

The printed film is bonded with one or more layers such as PE, metallised PET or foil. Lamination adds strength, sealability and barrier against moisture, oxygen and light.

Curing
Step 03

Curing

Laminated rolls rest in a controlled curing area until the adhesive reaches full bond strength. This step is what keeps layers from separating later on your packing line.

Slitting & Rewinding
Step 04

Slitting & Rewinding

Cured jumbo rolls are slit to the exact width and rewound on the core size your machine needs, ready for automatic form-fill-seal lines.

Pouch & Bag Making
Step 05

Pouch & Bag Making

Rolls are converted into pouches and bags with side seal, bottom seal, centre seal, zipper, handle or gusset as required, then checked, packed and dispatched.

FAQ

Common questions

What is the difference between a shrink pouch and a normal bag?

A shrink pouch is made from film that contracts with heat, so it wraps tightly around the product. A normal bag stays loose.

How do I shrink the pouch?

Place the product in the pouch, seal it and pass it through a shrink tunnel or use a heat gun. We will advise the right thickness for your method.

Can shrink pouches be printed?

Yes. We supply both clear and printed shrink pouches.
